Ms. Och, Below is a list of discussion topics for our call tomorrow at 11 am.  We will save some time at the end of the call to address any additional questions you might have. Don’t forget that your documents are due to the team today.  Thanks. Pam Bennett

ACICS School Introductory Call

Topics for Discussion

  1. Please have all requested materials available in our team room (list provided by Andre McDuffie, or it can be found on the website: acics.org).
  2. Please provide a private work area with sufficient space for the team and their laptops and files.
  3. Please provide basic office supplies (legal pads, stapler, pens, highlighters, etc.) for team use; and water, coffee, and morning and afternoon snacks.
  4. Do you have wireless capabilities? Have a tech support person available to assist us in setting up our computers with Internet service.  We will also need a printer in our team room and power strips if there are a limited number of outlets.
  5. Upon our arrival please introduce your staff to us and provide a brief tour of the campus (floor plans will be helpful).  We will also appreciate an overview of how the visit room materials are arranged.
  6. Are files paper or digital? Have staff members available to pull students’ academic and financial aid files that will be randomly selected by the Student Relations Specialist from the 2019 back-up CAR data.   If your student files are not paper files, but maintained as digital files, be sure that we discuss the proper procedures to follow.
  7. If you have students currently enrolled in clinicals, internship, or externship, please arrange for the specialist to visit a nearby site on Day 1 of the visit.
  8. Have lunch menus available as we will have a working lunch each day; salads, soups, and sandwiches usually work best.
  9. Please arrange for a faculty meeting on the afternoon of Day 1 of our visit.  The meeting will last approximately 30 minutes.
  10. If distance education programs are being evaluated, please provide the web address and a login and password for the specialist and the chair.
  11. Be sure you have provided a copy of the most current CEP to Pam.
  12. Please provide a print copy of your current catalog in the team room for each team member.

Day 1 of the visit will be spent interviewing students, staff, and faculty, as well as visiting classes.  Staff and I will meet with administration throughout the day to keep you informed of any concerns; and if minor, you may be able to address them while we are onsite.

Day 2 we will be completing interviews and information gathering and preparing our report.  After lunch, the team will read through the report and then an exit meeting will be conducted where our findings will be formally reported to you.  I anticipate the exit will occur around 5 pm.
